Based on 363 reviewsThe Lake Cafe @ The Farm is widely appreciated for its unique blend of a cozy cafe environment combined with a mini zoo, offering an engaging experience for animal lovers and families alike. Visitors frequently highlight the well-maintained, clean farm setting with various charming animals such as miniature goats, peacocks, and ducks that add to the cafe’s appeal. The serene lakeside location enhances the relaxing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for enjoying nature alongside a meal or coffee. While the food variety is somewhat limited and seating comfort has room for improvement, the attentive and accommodating service stands out as a notable strength. Overall, the cafe is praised for its distinctive concept and tranquil surroundings.
Visiting this cafe with its own mini zoo was a delightful experience. The entrance fee of RM12 for adults is quite reasonable considering the added value of interacting with the animals. The cafe itself had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee while observing the adorable animals. It’s a great spot for families or anyone looking to spend some time in a unique environment
This is a small clean beautiful cafe where the imperfect food and lack of menu variety can be forgiven for its environment and scenery. There are fishes you can feed here with ducks and geese resting in the background. Eating outside near the lake sounds soothing but their tables and chairs are either too high or too low which made enjoying your meal difficult. One issue I can see is people kept opening the cafe entrance as well as the sliding door to the lake. It meant the animal smell or their fur/feathers could sneak into the cafe and onto our food which is unhygienic. Another issue is the fences separating the lake have very large gaps so if you are not paying attention, your child could run to the lake area through the opened sliding door and accidentally fall into the lake which is very dangerous. Parents should be wary when buying fish feed to let their child feed the fishes because of the large fence gaps. Our food was great but some could be improved. The chicken burger dish could have some coleslaw or salad near it for health reasons. The bruschetta snacks was a bit too salty so some balance in seasoning is needed. I’m glad the service was satisfactory with our food arriving not long after ordering but the menu lacked variety. To make matters worse, several dishes in the menu were not available (Grill chicken, spaghetti bolognese, etc) which made our options even more scarce. It is also worth mentioning that the food prices were expensive and we spent around RM40 per person so that is something to consider if you want to come here regularly.
I just want to say thank you to Lake Cafe's team for allowing us to reserve a table of 10pax (+1 child) on a Sunday, even though you guys originally don't allow reservations. Your consideration meant a lot to us, so here's a 10 star for your service. First of all, the cafe/mini zoo was well maintained, and it doesn't have smell. Lots of peacocks and mini goats!!! So cute! Kids could buy snacks to feed the goats. The pond was clean with a few instagrammable spots. Entrance fees was rm12 per pax. There was also a small greenhouse where they showcased their hydroponic vertical tower. I'm not sure if that's the correct system, but there were some plants and vegetables growing like ginger, peppermint, spearmint, 小白菜. Very interesting and also pretty for a picture. As for the food from the cafe, some were good some were not bad but maybe tersilap put salt. The really yummy ones are grilled chicken chop, bruschetta, mushroom soup, lychee blackcurrant drink, mocha & cuppacinno. Fish & chip batter was very thick & the fish was salty. Carbonara lacked salt. Tomato pasta was average. Overall the food isn't bad, it's just the salt wasn't equally sprinkled. I think the team could improve on that only. Otherwise, all is a nice experience The only downside was the weather being ultra hot and few bugs. Haha but that's natural since it's near mountain.
Perfect for animals lover! The cafe is in the farm. The farm is very clean and theres miniature goat running around. They’re very cute and cheeky. Also many ithers animals like peacocks, alpacas, ducks, swan, chickens and all types of small animals. The cafe were facing the mini lake they have in the middle. There’s fresh vegetables farm, you can buy from them too. Check out the pictures i took.
